Strategy
Brand strategy, marketing strategy, go-to-market and customer journey mapping, grounded in research and insight.
I build the brands, businesses and platforms behind a digitising Africa — for the organisations shaping what comes next.
Radio raised him. Design shaped him. Africa's digital future is what he builds now.
Ndaba Lungu is a brand and digital strategist, entrepreneur and creative leader — the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Sync.Africa. He works at the intersection of brand, technology and storytelling, translating what an organisation means into strategy, platforms and creative that people actually feel.
His range is unusually wide: brand and marketing strategy, go-to-market, digital transformation, creative direction, and the enterprise platforms and AI tools that carry them. It's a range built by doing — directing creative for UNICEF, ActionAid and Standard Bank, shaping brand and digital for The Presidency, the City of Johannesburg, the Intra-African Trade Fair, Hollard and FDH Bank, and building consumer brands from a blank page that still sit on shelves today.
What drives him now is what comes next. He's obsessed with digital transformation, e-commerce and digital money for the unbanked — and with Digital University Africa, Sync's initiative to train young Africans in the digital skills the future demands, with a goal of reaching one million learners by 2040. A young continent, he argues, cannot afford to be an untrained one.
He still takes the stage, hosting and moderating on digital transformation, African technology and entrepreneurship — TEDx among them. The through-line is simple: understand people, build the right thing, and tell the story so it lands.
Strategy that holds. Digital that ships. A voice that carries. Whatever the brief, the job is the same — the distance between what you mean and what people feel.
